Natalie Morales is an accomplished and influential American television news anchor. Born in Taipei, Taiwan, in 1972 to Brazilian and Puerto Rican parents, she has a unique multicultural background.
Early Life and Education
Morales spent the first 18 years of her life traveling the world as part of her father's military service. She lived in Panama, Brazil, and Spain, becoming fluent in both Spanish and Portuguese. She graduated from Rutgers University and briefly worked at Chase Bank in New York before pursuing a career in journalism.
Journalism Career
Morales' journalism career began at WVIT-TV in Hartford, Connecticut. She later worked as a producer, host, and editor at News 12, where she also created the documentary "Save Our Sound." She joined MSNBC in 2002 and covered significant news events, including the 2004 presidential election and the 2004 Summer Olympics.
