Biography of Nazanin Ezazi

Introduction

Nazanin Ezazi is an Iranian classical opera singer, known for her lyrical soprano. She gained recognition after being selected as one of the thirty young singers for the 2011 Operalia competition, organized by Spanish tenor Plácido Domingo.

Early Life and Education

Born in Tehran, Iran, Ezazi was a finalist in the 29th International Hans Gabor Belvedere Singing Competition, one of the most prestigious competitions for young opera singers. She received the International Media Award for her enchanting performance. Her deep devotion to singing led her to Vienna, one of the oldest centers for classical music. She studied at the University of Music and Performing Arts, Vienna, the largest conservatory in Austria, under the guidance of Professor Margit Klaushofer. Prior to that, she studied with Professor Maria Bayer, specializing in vocal teaching. In 2007, Ezazi completed her academic studies in musicology at the University of Vienna. In 2010, she graduated with distinction in vocal pedagogy and earned her second diploma in classical opera performance.

Career

During her studies, Ezazi participated in several interesting projects and performed various roles in classical and contemporary opera productions. Currently, she is the lead performer in the role of Susanna in Mozart's "Le nozze di Figaro" at the Palace Theatre Schönbrunn in Vienna. She also portrays the role of Venus in George Antheil's opera "Venus in Africa" at the Vienna Chamber Opera during the 2011 season. Additionally, starting from the fall of 2011, Ezazi will be part of the young ensemble at the Graz Opernhaus, the second largest opera house in Austria, where she plans to stay for several upcoming seasons.

Le Tre Orfei

Ezazi is a member of the classical vocal trio "Le Tre Orfei" along with sopranos Nasrin Asgari and Shirin Asgari.
