Early Life and Beginnings

Nazmi Avluca, a renowned Turkish Greco-Roman wrestler, was born and raised in Bolu. In 1987, he embarked on his wrestling journey, joining the Greco-Roman wrestling section of his hometown.

National Stardom and International Success

Avluca's talent and dedication earned him a place on the Turkish national team in 1991. The following year, he triumphed at the world cadet championship in Istanbul, claiming the title in the 60 kg weight class.

Throughout his illustrious career, Avluca achieved remarkable success on the international stage. He emerged victorious at the 1999 and 2009 World Championships in the 76 kg and 84 kg categories, respectively. Additionally, he captured the World Cup trophies in 2001 and 2010 and dominated at the European Championships, earning gold medals in 1996 (74 kg), 2004 (84 kg), 2008 (84 kg), and 2010 (84 kg).

Olympic Bronze and International Recognition

Avluca represented Turkey at the 1996 and 2000 Olympic Games. In 2008, he reached the pinnacle of his Olympic journey, securing a bronze medal in the 84 kg weight class.
