Early Career

Zimonjic began his professional career in 1995, but initially struggled to achieve significant success in singles. However, he gradually shifted his focus to doubles and started to see better results. In 1999, he won his first doubles tournament with Max Mirnyi at the Delray Beach Open in the United States. The following year, Zimonjic secured his second victory at the same event.

Grand Slam Success

In 2004, Zimonjic won his first Grand Slam title at the Australian Open in mixed doubles, partnering with Elena Bovina. He went on to win two more Grand Slam titles in doubles, both at the French Open in 2008 and 2009, alongside Daniel Nestor. Additionally, Zimonjic clinched the Australian Open mixed doubles title twice and the French Open mixed doubles title twice.
