Early Career
British ice dancer Nicholas Buckland joined forces with Penny Coomes in 2005. They competed in the junior division until 2008, achieving their greatest success as the 2008 British junior champions.
International Debut
Making their international debut, the pair enjoyed moderate success. Their most notable result was a 4th-place finish at the 2009 Ondrej Nepela Memorial, where they surprisingly placed 2nd in the compulsory dance.
Winter Olympics
Despite their limited international achievements, Coomes and Buckland earned a silver medal at the 2010 British Championships. As a result, they were selected to represent Great Britain at the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver, where they represented their country with pride.
