Nicholas Dinsmore, born on December 17, 1975, is an American professional wrestler and former world tag team champion. He is best known for his time with the Ohio Valley Wrestling (OVW) promotion.
Early Career and OVW Success
Dinsmore began his career in OVW as part of a tag team called "The Lords of the Ring" with Rob Conway. The duo held the Southern Tag Team Championship for an impressive 10 seasons. Dinsmore also became a 10-time OVW Heavyweight Champion during his time with the promotion.
World Wrestling Federation (WWF) and World Championship Wrestling (WCW)
Dinsmore made his debut in the World Wrestling Federation (WWF) in 1999 and wrestled under various personas, including "Doink the Clown" and as part of the duo "Los Conquistadores" with Rob Conway. He also competed in World Championship Wrestling (WCW) from August 1998 to January 1999, primarily appearing on WCW Saturday Night.
World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE)
In April 2004, Dinsmore debuted in the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) on Raw as "Eugene," the special and enthusiastic nephew of General Manager Eric Bischoff. He engaged in various storylines, including feuds with Jonathan Coachman and Triple H. Dinsmore won his first and only WWE Championship with William Regal as his partner, defeating La Résistance for the WWE World Tag Team Championship.
Later Career and Return to WWE
Dinsmore suffered a knee injury and took time off to recover. He returned unexpectedly at Wrestlemania 21 to save Hulk Hogan from an attack, marking the legendary wrestler's return to WWE. Dinsmore's contract with WWE ended in 2007 after failing a drug test for the second time.
In 2009, Dinsmore briefly returned to WWE, winning a match against Ricky Ortiz on SmackDown/ECW. However, he was released a few days later. He later returned to WWE as a trainer in 2013 but was released in 2014. Dinsmore also had stints with Juggalo Championship Wrestling and International Pro Wrestling: United Kingdom.
