Biography of Nick Gentry
Nick James Gentry was born on May 29, 1980, in London, and grew up in the neighboring town of St Albans. From a very young age, he spent a lot of time drawing and sketching. Nick attended Parmiter's School in Garston, Hertfordshire, one of the top schools in the area, although he was often on the verge of being expelled.

In his school years, Nick focused a lot on sculpture, but one unfortunate incident occurred when the air in the kiln destroyed his entire exhibition made of clay. Undeterred, Gentry continued his artistic studies at Ridge Street Art School and the University of Hertfordshire. During this period, he was greatly inspired by visiting the renowned exhibition 'Sensation' at the Royal Academy of Arts, which showcased the emergence of a new art movement called the Young British Artists (YBA).
After a second attempt, Gentry became a student at the Liverpool College of Art and subsequently completed his studies at Central Saint Martins in 2006. Throughout his artistic career, he has been heavily influenced by the development of consumerism, technology, and cyberculture in society, with a distinct focus on outdated means of information. Gentry's art often revolves around the reuse of obsolete information carriers and giving personal belongings a second life.
His unique artistic creations, which many critics consider to be social commentaries, have been widely exhibited in art galleries around the world, including the United Kingdom, the United States, France, Germany, and Spain. Gentry's works have been displayed alongside renowned street artists such as Banksy, the English underground artist and activist whose true identity remains a mystery, Shepard Fairey, the American contemporary artist and designer, and Blek Le Rat (Xavier Prou), one of the pioneers of graffiti in Paris.
As a result, Gentry has become closely associated with London's urban art scene, showcasing his talent and contributing to the ever-evolving world of contemporary art.
