Onika Tanya Maraj, known as Nicki Minaj, was born on December 8, 1982, in St. James, a suburb of Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago, and grew up in Queens, New York City.
Early Life and Struggles
Due to constant disputes with her parents and the increasing chaos, Onika created several characters in her imagination, whose lives she lived and who saved her from the suffocating reality.
