Nicolao Dumitru is an Italian professional footballer who plays as a forward for Serie A club Napoli and is currently on loan to English Championship club Nottingham Forest.

Early Life and Club Career

Born in Sweden to a Romanian father and a Brazilian mother, Dumitru spent his formative years in Italy, playing for Empoli from 2005 to 2010. He made his senior debut for the Tuscan club in 2008 but spent most of his time with their youth team.

Loan to Napoli

In August 2010, Napoli swooped in for Dumitru on a season-long loan with an option to buy. He made his Serie A debut against Chievo in September, coming off the bench. The following month, he marked his Europa League debut against Steaua Bucharest.

International Career

Dumitru represented Italy at the under-19 level, making his debut in 2009. However, he is eligible to play for both Romania and Brazil internationally.
