Nicole Gale Anderson
Early Life and CareerNicole Gale Anderson was born in Rochester, Indiana, to an American father and a Filipino mother. Anderson was a nationally ranked gymnast in her youth but was forced to retire due to injuries. She received a scholarship to the Barbizon Modeling and Acting School in Georgia at age 13 and began pursuing acting and auditioning. She appeared in several print and television commercials, including for Mary-Kate & Ashley Online Clothing, Every Girl, Stand Up, and Bratz Pretty 'n' Punk & Treasures.
Breakthrough Roles
Anderson initially auditioned for the role of Stella in the television series "Jonas," but the role ultimately went to Chelsea Kane. However, after a change in the show's storyline, producers created the role of Macy for Anderson as Stella's best friend. In 2012, Anderson was cast in the television series "Beauty & the Beast" as Heather Chandler, the younger sister of Catherine (Kristin Kreuk).
"Ravenswood" and Return to "Beauty & the Beast"
In May 2013, Anderson joined the cast of "Ravenswood," a spin-off of "Pretty Little Liars," as Miranda Collins, a foster child who relies on her wit to hide her emotional scars. Anderson had previously appeared as Miranda Collins in the "Pretty Little Liars" episode "Grave New World." After "Ravenswood" was canceled, Anderson returned to "Beauty & the Beast" in its third season as a series regular.
Philanthropy and Personal Life
Anderson served as the first international spokesperson for Underwriters Laboratories Youth Safety Smart and has been involved with Disney's Friends for Change program. In January 2018, Anderson married Roberto Paniagua. They welcomed a child together in 2020.
