Early Life and Education
Cadet and Artillery TrainingBoris Timofeevich Belyaev was born into a family with strong military ties. He attended the 2nd Petersburg Cadet Corps and the Mikhailovsky Artillery School before graduating from the Mikhailovsky Artillery Academy.
Foreign Studies and Career
International CollaborationsBelyaev was appointed abroad to work in laboratories in Germany, England, and France. He became a professor at the Mikhailovsky Artillery Academy and participated in World War I.
Russian Procurement Committee
During the war, Belyaev traveled to England to serve on the Russian Procurement Committee, ensuring supplies for the Russian army.
Emigration and Scientific Accomplishments
Legacy in MetallurgyAfter the Russian Revolution, Belyaev remained in England. He joined the Russian Economic Society in London and made significant contributions to the field of steel research. The British Iron and Steel Institute awarded him the prestigious Bessemer Gold Medal.

In 1933, Belyaev received the Gold Medal for Metallurgical Research from the Corporation of Russian Artillery Academicians Abroad.
Life in Paris
Academic and Community InvolvementBelyaev relocated to Paris in 1934, where he actively pursued scientific and community endeavors. He was a member of the Russian Academic Group, the Society of Russian Artillery Officers, and the Society of Russian Diplomats.
Religious and Cultural Contributions
In 1938, Belyaev became the trustee of the Assumption Cathedral in London. He authored works on ancient Russian history and became a member of the Society for the Study of Ancient Sagas.
Later Years and Legacy
Role in Orthodox CommunityIn 1948, Belyaev helped establish the Paris Orthodox Cultural Association. He served as vice-chairman of the Association of Officers of the Leib Guard 1st Artillery Brigade from 1951 until his death in Paris. Belyaev was buried at the Sainte-Geneviève-des-Bois cemetery.
