Early Life and Education
Mykhaylo Kravchenko was born on June 30, 1953, in the village of Petrovske, Bratzke district, Mykolaiv region. He received his initial acting training at the Dnipropetrovsk Theater College (1971), followed by a degree in pedagogy from the Mykolaiv Pedagogical Institute (1997). Kravchenko later pursued further studies at the Kyiv University of Culture and Arts (2010), earning a degree in directing.
Theater Career
Kravchenko began his career as an actor in various regional theaters, including the drama theater in Sovetsk (1973-1974), the Gorky Theater in Makhachkala (1974-1975), the Kemerovo Drama Theater (1976-1979), and the Mykolaiv Musical Drama Theater (1979-1984). In 1984, he joined the Mykolaiv Artistic Russian Drama Theater as an actor and later served as the theater's director (1989) and artistic director (1997-2017).
