Nikogos Nikogosyan: A Master of Art

Early Life and Education

Nikogos Nikogosyan was born on December 2, 1918, in Shagraar, Armenia. He relocated to Yerevan in 1930 and pursued his artistic education at the Repin Institute of Painting, Sculpture, and Architecture in Leningrad from 1937 to 1940. He then studied at the Surikov Moscow State Art Institute from 1944 to 1947, specializing in sculpture under the mentorship of Professor A. T. Matveev.

Artistic Career

Nikogosyan became a member of the Union of Artists of the USSR in 1942. Throughout his career, he created sculptures, paintings, and graphic works that garnered widespread recognition. His works are housed in notable collections, including the Tretyakov Gallery and the Russian Museum.
