Nona Marvisa Gaye - Biography
Nona Marvisa Gaye, born on September 17, 1974, is an African-American singer, former fashion model, and television actress. She is the daughter of soul legend Marvin Gaye and the granddaughter of jazz musician Slim Gaillard.

Early Life and Career
Nona is the only daughter of singer Marvin Gaye and his wife Janis Gaye. She had an older half-brother, Marvin Gaye III, from her father's previous marriage. At a young age, Nona had the opportunity to perform alongside her father on stage, representing him at 'Soul Train' concerts when she was just eight years old.

In 1992, at the age of eighteen, Nona released her debut album, 'Love for the Future,' under the record label 'Atlantic Records.' The album featured hits such as 'I'm Overjoyed' and 'The Things That We All Do For Love.' Only a month after turning eighteen, Nona was already making waves in the music industry.

Modeling Career and Collaborations with Prince
In 1994, Nona was chosen as one of the "20 Most Beautiful People in the World" by People Magazine. She signed a contract with the Ford modeling agency and became the new face of Armani.
During this time, Nona collaborated with singer and poet Prince. They worked together on at least four successful songs, including the duet '1000 Hugs and Kisses' and the solo track 'Snowman.' Although these songs were not officially released, they gained popularity among fans. Their duet 'Love Sign' was included in a funk music compilation album released in 1994.
Nona also provided backing vocals for Prince's song 'We March' on his album 'The Gold Experience' in 1995. She also lent her vocals to the title track of the soundtrack album 'Girl 6,' released in 1996.
