Early Life
Noomi was born in Hudiksvall, Sweden, to Swedish actress Nina Norén and Spanish flamenco dancer Rogelio Durán. She hardly knew her father, and at the age of five, she moved with her family to Fludir, Iceland. It was in Iceland that Noomi first appeared in a film, with a small role in Hrafn Gunnlaugsson's "Í skugga hrafnsins."
