Biography of Ognjen Koroman

Early Career and International Success

Ognjen Koroman is a Serbian football player, primarily known as a midfielder. He represented both the national teams of Serbia and Montenegro and Serbia from 2002 to 2007. Koroman began his career playing for Serbian clubs such as "Radnicki" (Kragujevac), "Spartak" (Subotica), and OFK (Belgrade).

Moscow and Samara Stints

In 2002, Koroman made a move to the Moscow-based team "Dinamo" and played there for one and a half seasons. He then transferred to "Krylia Sovetov" and spent one full season and two partial seasons with the Samara club. During his time in the Russian Premier League, Koroman played 50 matches, scoring 3 goals. On June 30, 2003, he represented the foreign players' team of the Russian Championship.

Stint in Grozny and Portsmouth Loan

In 2005, Koroman joined the Grozny-based team "Terek" midway through the season. He played six matches for the club, scoring one goal. After "Terek" was relegated from the Premier League, Koroman refused to play in the First Division and was loaned to "Portsmouth." However, he struggled to establish himself in the English club, making only four appearances and scoring one goal.

Return to Serbia and International Career

In 2007, Koroman spent a few months on loan at "Crvena Zvezda" (Red Star Belgrade). After the loan period, he was purchased by the club and signed a three-year contract. In 2009, he signed a one-and-a-half-year contract with the Korean club "Incheon United." On June 3, 2011, Koroman signed a 2.5-year contract with "Krylia Sovetov." In his first official match for the club after returning to Samara, he scored a goal. However, after the appointment of Andrey Kobelev as the head coach of "Krylia Sovetov," Koroman struggled to secure a place in the team and eventually announced that the coach did not require his services.

International Achievements

During his international career, Koroman represented the Serbian national team from 2002 to 2007. He played a total of 33 matches and scored one goal on October 13, 2004, against San Marino. He also participated in the 2006 FIFA World Cup held in Germany.
