Childhood and Early Life
Okan Yalabık was born on December 13th, 1978, in Istanbul, Turkey, as the second son in his family. He has an older brother, Ozan, who later became a director and video clip maker. His parents had no connection to the art world: his father managed the family business, while his mother worked in the banking sector.
Education and Theatre Debut
As a student, Yalabık enrolled in his school's drama club, sparking his passion for acting. After high school, he pursued a degree in drama at Istanbul Conservatory. He studied under renowned artists, including Turkish actors and directors. He also obtained a master's degree in cinema and drama from Kadir Has University.
Yalabık's theatre career began at the age of 20 when he joined the private theatre company Kent Actors. There, he earned fame and recognition for his performances, notably in plays such as "The Seagull," "The Lieutenant of Inishmore," and "Dealer's Choice." He won the Sadri Alışık Award for his role in "The Thirty-Nine Steps."
Voice Acting and "Magnificent Century"
Yalabık's voice acting career includes dubbing foreign films, commercials, and animated movies. He voiced the lead character in the Turkish dub of "Kung Fu Panda" and the animated film "Bad Cat Şerafettin." He also provided the voice of Nathan Drake in the video games "Uncharted 3" and "Uncharted 4."
Yalabık's breakthrough came with his portrayal of İbrahim Pasha in the historical drama series "Magnificent Century." His charismatic and captivating performance made the character immensely popular. Even after his character's death, Yalabık continued to appear in the series as a voiceover narrator.

He has been in relationships with actress Hande Doğandemir and costume designer Ezgi Ayvalı but is currently single.
