Oksana Alekseeva, best known for her role in the film "The Adventures of Electronik," was born in the Soviet Union. In 1979, she starred in the children's adventure film as the character Maya, one of the main roles. Interestingly, the director, Konstantin Bromberg, initially intended to cast the already famous Yana Poplavskaya (Little Red Riding Hood) for the role. However, the young star refused, and another aspiring actress, Oksana Fandera, also auditioned but was only given a minor role as a schoolgirl.
A Star is Born
Oksana Alekseeva took matters into her own hands and approached the film's cinematographer, Konstantin Apryatin, innocently asking, "When will I be shooting?" Impressed by her enthusiasm, Apryatin gave her a chance to audition, and that's how Oksana landed the role that would make her a household name and a beauty icon for many young girls in the country.
