Oleg Feliyevich Bozhev, born in 1961, is a Soviet sportsman known for his impressive accomplishments in speed skating. He was awarded the title of Honored Master of Sports in 1984 and Honored Coach of Russia in 1999.
Rise to Glory
Bozhev's journey to stardom began with his astounding victory at the 1984 World Championship. His triumph marked the revival of Soviet men's speed skating in the 1980s. Not only did he receive a laurel wreath at the "Ullevi" rink in Gothenburg, but he was also given a second wreath by Viktor Kosichkin in Moscow.
