Childhood and Early Life
Oleg Gerasimenko, born on June 27, 1973, in Kremenchuk, Ukraine, developed an early passion for the circus arts. From a young age, he honed his skills in acrobatics, juggling, and balancing at his hometown's circus studio.
Career
Despite his initial interest in various disciplines, Gerasimenko found his true calling in clowning. Using the stage name "Clown Shurik," he formed a dynamic duo with his brother, Konstantin. Their collaborative performances became a hallmark of Ukrainian circus tradition.
Gerasimenko pursued formal education at the esteemed Kyiv National University of Theatre, Cinema, and Television named after I.K. Karpenko-Kary, where he specialized in circus directing.

The Gerasimenko brothers have delighted audiences worldwide with their classic repertoire, reimagined through their unique lens. Some of their most celebrated skits include "Hats," "Spider," "Applause," "Arrow," "Spools," and "Badminton."
International Success
Their exceptional talent has garnered international recognition. They have participated in renowned circus festivals, including the Bucharest International Circus Festival (2005), the Izhevsk International Circus Festival (2008), and the Wuqiao International Circus Festival (2009), where they were awarded a special prize.
Honors and Recognition
In 2011, Gerasimenko was bestowed with the "Medal of Honor, Glory, and Labor" by the international academy "Golden Fortune." The same year, he received the esteemed title of "Honored Artist of Ukraine."
