Early Years and Playing CareerOleksandr Kucher, a renowned Ukrainian footballer, was born in Kyiv, Ukraine, and played as a defender and midfielder throughout his illustrious career. He began his professional journey at Metalurh Zaporizhzhya in 2001. In 2005, he joined Metalist Kharkiv, where he spent eight seasons and made a significant impact on the team.
International Appearances
Kucher made his debut for the Ukrainian national team on November 19, 2008, coming on as a substitute in a match against Norway. He went on to make 22 appearances for Ukraine, playing an important role in the team's defense.
Club Successes
With Metalist Kharkiv, Kucher achieved several notable accomplishments. In 2008/09, the team won the Ukrainian Cup. They also secured the silver medal in the 2012/13 Ukrainian Premier League and the bronze medal in the 2013/14 season.
Coaching Career
After retiring from playing, Kucher transitioned into coaching. In 2019, he became the head coach of Mariupol, a Ukrainian Premier League club. He has since guided the team to a number of victories and helped develop young talents.
