Biography of Oleg Samsonov

Oleg Samsonov is a Russian footballer who played as a midfielder. He began his football career at FC Atom, with Gennady Kuprin as his first coach. At the age of 12, he received an invitation to join the school of Voronezh's Fakel. In 2001, he was accepted into the Moscow school of Academica. From 2004 to 2005, he played for Sportakademklub in the second division of the Russian Championship (West Zone). He was a player and captain of the Russian youth national team for players born in 1987 from 2003 to 2006.

In 2006, he signed a contract with Zenit St. Petersburg but only played for the reserve team. In January 2007, he was loaned to Spartak Nalchik, where he spent the next two seasons. In the 2009 season, he played on loan for Khimki and Spartak Nalchik. In the 2010 season, he moved to Krylia Sovetov in Samara, signing a three-year contract. On June 28, 2011, his transfer was bought by Krasnodar, and he signed a three-year contract. In 2012, Krasnodar offered Samsonov to return to Krylia Sovetov with a significant pay cut, but the player refused. He did not play for the main team and only played for Krasnodar-2 until his contract expired.

On September 2, 2014, Samsonov became a player for Tyumen, and in the summer of 2015, he moved to Fakel. He also played for the Russian youth national team. In February 2016, he announced the end of his professional career at the age of 28.

In addition to football, Samsonov also became involved in business. He is the CEO of Algorithm Development, a company that specializes in building premium countryside properties in the Leningrad region. He is also the owner, together with his business partner Viktor Faizulin, of the amateur football club Algorithm in St. Petersburg. The team participated in the first league of the St. Petersburg Championship in 2019, finishing in first place. However, the club temporarily suspended its activities to focus on implementing large-scale projects in the field of sports infrastructure, such as a multifunctional sports complex, academy, and training base.
