Early Life and Political Career
Solboн Zhigjidjab was born in 1895 in Outer Mongolia. He joined the Mongolian People's Revolutionary Party (MPRP) and quickly rose through the ranks.
Minister of Finance and Member of Presidium
In 1924-1925, Zhigjidjab served as Minister of Finance and became a member of the Presidium of the MPRP's Central Committee from March 1925 to June 1932.
Secretary of the Central Committee
From December 11, 1928, to January 30, 1932, Zhigjidjab held the prestigious position of Secretary of the Central Committee of the MPRP.
Minister of Health and Exile
Later, Zhigjidjab served as Minister of Health from July 1932 to May 1934. However, in 1934, he was exiled to the USSR and resided in Moscow.
Arrest and Execution
In 1937, Zhigjidjab was arrested by the NKVD on charges of leading a counter-revolutionary organization and an uprising in 1929. He was executed on July 30, 1941, at the Kommunarka firing range near Moscow.
Rehabilitation
Zhigjidjab was posthumously rehabilitated in December 1956 by the same court that had convicted him. His life and legacy serve as an example of the political turmoil and persecution that characterized Mongolia in the early 20th century.
