Dr. Oscar Jaimes

Early Life and Education

Born in 1968 in the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Oscar Jaimes pursued higher education in the USSR. He enrolled at the Peoples' Friendship University of Russia (RUDN University), graduating in 1993 as an agricultural engineer.

Academic Career

From 1993 to 1994, Jaimes served as a research scientist at the Venezuelan Research University in Caracas, Venezuela. He subsequently worked as a sales manager and agricultural engineer at OOO Fund for Regional Development 2000 (1995-1996).

Advanced Studies and Research

In 1999, Jaimes earned a Master's degree in Agricultural Biotechnology from Lincoln University in Canterbury, New Zealand. He then held a research position at Martin Luther University in Germany (2000-2003) and worked as a molecular biologist in Germany (2003-2004).

Professional Career

From 2004 onward, Jaimes served as an agricultural engineer at the Institute of Contemporary Research in Caracas. In 2005, he completed his Doctorate in Agricultural Sciences at Martin Luther University in Halle, Germany.

Diplomatic Role

In 2009, Jaimes was appointed Minister-Counselor and Head of the Trade and Economic Department at the Embassy of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela in Moscow.

Other Affiliations

In 2011, Jaimes attended a meeting as part of a delegation at the Institute of International Relations at the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv.

Personal Life
