Early Life and EducationPanteley Kiselov was born in 1863 in the town of Svishtov, Bulgaria. In 1885, he completed his military education.
Military Career
Serbian-Bulgarian War (1885)Kiselov participated in the Serbian-Bulgarian War of 1885.
First Balkan War (1912-1913)
During the First Balkan War, Kiselov commanded an infantry regiment and distinguished himself in the Battle of Lozengrad.
Second Balkan War (1913)
In the Second Balkan War, Kiselov was severely wounded. Despite his injury, he continued to lead his troops from the front lines.
First World War (1914-1918)
Kiselov served on the Romanian front during the First World War. He commanded the Bulgarian forces that captured the supposedly impregnable Romanian fortress of Turtucaia.
Legacy
In recognition of his exceptional service, the village of General Kiselovo in northeastern Bulgaria is named after Panteley Kiselov. He remains a highly esteemed figure in Bulgarian military history.
