Early Life and Family

Lieutenant General Nader Jahanbani was born into a family with a strong military tradition. His father, Amanullah Jahanbani, served in the Persian Cossack Brigade alongside Shah Reza Pahlavi. General Jahanbani's lineage traced back to the Qajar dynasty, and he was a great-grandson of Fath Ali Shah. His mother, Yelena Kasminskaya, was a Russian noblewoman from St. Petersburg.

Military Career

General Jahanbani distinguished himself as a military commander during the reign of Reza Shah Pahlavi. Following the Shah's abdication in 1941, he held prominent positions in the administration of Shah Mohammad Reza Pahlavi. He was repeatedly elected to the Senate, the upper house of Iran's parliament.

General of the Imperial Iranian Air Force

General Jahanbani gained widespread popularity and respect as the commander of the Imperial Iranian Air Force. He was known for his leadership and dedication to the advancement of Iran's military aviation.

Head of Iran's Sports Organization

In addition to his military duties, General Jahanbani served as the head of all Iranian sports organizations. He played a vital role in developing and promoting sports in Iran.

Downfall and Execution

Following the overthrow of the monarchy, the new authorities arrested prominent officials and military leaders of the former regime. On March 12, 1979, after an Islamic court trial, General Nader Jahanbani was executed by firing squad in Tehran's Qasr Prison.
