Formation and Early Collaborations

In preparation for the Sprite - Thirst for Success festival, the bands Leto and Sirius co-recorded demos for several songs. While they failed to achieve significant success at the event, the demos ultimately contributed to a collaboration between the two bands for a joint album titled "We Are Above You."

1 October 2000: Birth of Paranoia and Angedonia

Shortly after, the band Paranoia was formed, featuring Ksyukha, Victor Novgorodov "Ali-Babai" on bass, and Pavel Gornovoy on drums. Grob, who had been playing his own songs at underground events, approached Ksyukha to record her music as well. With the same lineup, they recorded a self-titled album that, due to its poor production, received limited attention.

Upon completing the album, the band decided to merge their projects under the new name "Paranoia and Angedonia." Their official debut date became October 1, 2000.

Concert Debut and Lineup Changes

In March 2001, the band made their live debut at the Spring-Center festival. Despite technical issues, their performance impressed the audience and attracted positive feedback.

Over the next few months, the band experimented with replacing Sirius' musicians with their own. After unsuccessful attempts with Kazankov Vlad "Kats," they recruited Alexei Marchenko on bass despite his young age. Marchenko's ego soon became an issue, however, as he began skipping rehearsals and playing off-script during concerts. As a result, he was removed from the band and replaced by Ali-Babai.

In 2002, the band added Tatiana "Gera" Nepokoeva on keyboards to enhance the sound of their songs.

Notable Performances and Studio Recordings

In August 2002, Paranoia and Angedonia performed at a festival in memory of Vladimir Tsoi, the iconic Russian singer-songwriter. The event was marred by a drunken performance, resulting in police intervention and the arrest of bassist Andrei Trushkin. The band released a live album, "On the Remains of the Holiday," based on this experience.

The band's first out-of-town concert took place in October 2002 in Uyar, with Olesya Golubovich replacing Trushkin on bass. In March 2003, they completed their debut studio album, which featured original songs and covers of G.O. and AV.

Departure of Ksyukha and Formation of New Lineup

In 2004, the band faced major upheaval when Ksyukha left after a personal falling out with Gleb. This prompted a restructuring of the lineup, with Olesya Sokolova replacing Ksyukha on vocals. The band also welcomed Andrei Trushkin back on bass and recruited Vovan, formerly of the band Panika, on drums.

Continued Success and Legacy

Despite setbacks and lineup changes, Paranoia and Angedonia remained active and continued to perform and record. They released a single, "Vzaperti," in 2004, which included new material and live tracks. The band also made their Moscow debut in 2004, sharing the stage with prominent punk acts.

Paranoia and Angedonia's music continues to be played and appreciated by fans of punk rock, showcasing the enduring spirit and creative energy of the band and their impact on the Russian music scene.
