Early Life and Education
Arman Melikyan is an Armenian political and statesman. He began his educational journey at the Yerevan Food Industry Technical School from 1977 to 1980. Subsequently, he enrolled in the agronomy faculty of the Armenian Agricultural Institute from 1986 to 1991, graduating with a qualification as a scientist-agronomist.
Work Experience
From 1980 onwards, Melikyan worked in the "Anastasavan" and "Shahumyan" collective farms in the Shahumyan district of Yerevan. From 1991 to 1998, he held the position of Senior Director-Administrator at the "Sebastia" hotel in Yerevan.
Political Career
Melikyan's political career commenced in 1998 when he was elected as the Head of the Achapnyak community in Yerevan. He served in this role until 1999. From 1999 to 2003, he was a Member of Parliament in the second convocation. On August 1, 2005, by decree of the Prime Minister, he was appointed Deputy Head of the State Property Management Service under the Government of Armenia.
