Patricia Krenwinkel is a convicted murderer, former member of the infamous Manson Family, and an accomplice of Charles Manson. She was born in Los Angeles, California, to a family of an insurance agent and a housewife. Krenwinkel had a difficult time in school, facing low self-esteem and constant bullying from her peers. Despite these challenges, she excelled academically and even considered becoming a nun.

After high school, Krenwinkel attended Jesuit College in Alabama but dropped out after the first semester. She then moved to Manhattan Beach, California, where she worked as a clerk in an office. It was there that she met Charles Manson and other members of the Manson Family. Krenwinkel was charmed by Manson and left everything behind to join him and the group on their travels across the United States.

The Manson Family eventually settled in the San Fernando Valley and Krenwinkel assumed the role of a mother figure to some of the community's children. She became one of Manson's most loyal followers and actively participated in the Family's criminal activities.

In 1969, Krenwinkel was involved in the brutal murders of Sharon Tate, a pregnant actress, and several others. She actively participated in the killings, showing no remorse for her actions. Krenwinkel and other members of the Manson Family continued to commit crimes, including the murders of Leno and Rosemary LaBianca.

After being arrested, Krenwinkel initially remained loyal to Manson and the Family but eventually decided to sever all ties.
