Final Hurrah with Millwall
Ifill's most notable achievement with Millwall came in 2004 when they reached the FA Cup Final, losing to Manchester United. He spent seven seasons at the club, making 234 appearances and scoring 40 goals.
Move to Sheffield United and Premier League Debut
In May 2005, Ifill moved to Sheffield United for a transfer fee of £800,000. In his first season with the club, he helped them secure promotion to the Premier League, scoring 9 goals in 39 appearances.
Controversial Stints and Transfers
Ifill's time at Sheffield United was marred by disagreements with manager Neil Warnock, leading to his transfer to Crystal Palace in January 2007. However, injuries and poor fitness hindered his performance at Palace. The arrival of Warnock as manager further strained his situation, and he was placed on the transfer list in 2008.
New Zealand Adventure
On July 21, 2009, Ifill signed a two-year contract with New Zealand's Wellington Phoenix in the A-League. He made a significant contribution to the team's success.
International Career
Ifill debuted for the Barbados national team in June 2004. He was part of their squad during the 2006-07 Caribbean Cup of Nations, where he finished as the fourth-highest scorer with 6 goals. He captained the team in two qualifying matches for the 2010 World Cup.
