Early Career
Oleksandr Babak is a Ukrainian football goalkeeper. He began his football career in 1998 with Fakel Varva in the Ukrainian Second League. After that, he played for the amateur team Obolon-2 Kyiv.
Professional Career
In 2001, Babak joined Systema-Borex. In 2002, he transferred to Borysfen Boryspil, where he primarily played for Borysfen-2. On March 14, 2004, he made his debut in the Ukrainian Premier League for Borysfen against Kryvbas Kryvyi Rih.
Tavriya Simferopol
In 2005, Babak moved to Tavriya Simferopol. However, he only played one match for the club, in the Ukrainian Cup against Hazovyk-KhGV.
International Status and Azerbaijani Citizenship
After leaving Tavriya, Babak gained Azerbaijani citizenship and played for MKT-Araz.
Return to Ukraine
In 2006, he returned to Ukrainian football with FC Lviv. In the following year, he joined Stal Alchevsk. He debuted for Stal on April 7, 2007, against FC Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk. After the 2006/2007 season, Stal was relegated from the Ukrainian Premier League.
