Pauline Lafon, a renowned French actress, was born into a family of artists. Her mother, the esteemed Bernadette Lafon, was a renowned French actress (1938-2013), while her father, Dyorke Medveski, was a Hungarian sculptor. Her elder sister, Élisabeth Lafon, also pursued an acting career (born 1960).

Lafon's acting career began with Pierre Zucca's film "Vincent mit l'âne dans un pré (et s'en vint dans l'autre)" in 1976. She gained widespread recognition for her portrayal of Lila in the film adaptation of Pierre Pélo's novel "L'Enfant d'été" (1987). Throughout her career, she graced the screens in approximately 20 films, collaborating with prestigious French directors such as Andrzej Żuławski, Claude Chabrol, Jean-Luc Godard, and Jean-Pierre Mocky.

Tragic End

On August 11, 1988, tragedy struck as Lafon, then 25 years old, lost her life during a hiking expedition. Her body was recovered three months after the fateful incident. Lafon's passing left an unforgettable mark on the French film industry and her fans, who mourned the loss of a promising and gifted actress.
