Ukrainian Media and Entertainment Executive

Early Career and Education

Born and raised in Ukraine, the executive in question holds degrees in Political Science from the National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy and History from Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. He also pursued diplomas from Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Poland, the Ukrainian Institute for Development of Securities Market, and the Ukrainian Stock Exchange.

His career in the media began as a television journalist for UT-1 / First National Channel and as a freelance correspondent for the newspaper "Postup" from 1998 to 2001.

Rise in Television and International Relations

From 2002 to 2005, he served as Director of International Relations for the National Television Company of Ukraine (NTKU). In this role, he fostered collaborations with international organizations and oversaw the broadcast of major sporting events, including the Olympic Games and the UEFA European Football Championship.

He played a pivotal role in Ukraine's entry into the Eurovision Song Contest, organizing the first broadcast of the contest in Ukraine in 2003 and leading the Ukrainian delegation to Istanbul in 2004, where Ruslana's victory earned Ukraine the right to host the competition the following year.

Eurovision Producer and Executive

As Executive Producer of Eurovision 2005, he coordinated the event's successful staging in Ukraine. His involvement with Eurovision continued in the years that followed, as he became a member of the contest's Reference Group from 2004 to 2007 and Vice-President of NTKU in 2005. He also served on the Administrative Council of the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) from 2005 to 2006.

In 2007, he founded and led international company Euromedia, specializing in projects in television, show business, and sports events across Europe, Latin America, and Asia.

Return to National Television

In 2016, he joined the Organizing Committee for Eurovision 2017 and was appointed Deputy Director General of NTKU responsible for music, sports programs, documentaries, and Eurovision preparations. He later became Deputy Executive Director of NTU's Central Directorate for Eurovision.

Prolific Producer

Throughout his career, he has produced numerous television formats, including "Vyška" / "Splash," "Olympic Studio Sochi," "World Cup Studio," "Beauty in Ukrainian," "The Voice," "Who Wants to Study in Ukraine," and "The Grand Scene."

He has also produced Ukraine's entries for the Eurovision Song Contest and international performers like Aysel & Arash, Ell / Nikki, Farid Mammadov, and Maria Yaremchuk.

Social and Humanitarian Endeavors

Beyond his work in entertainment, he is also actively involved in social and humanitarian initiatives. He is the leader of the public organization "European House" and has initiated and produced charitable events to support those affected by natural disasters and combat human trafficking.

He has also led projects to promote Ukrainian education abroad and support palliative and hospice care in partnership with the Ukrainian League for Development of Palliative and Hospice Care.
