Peggy Kopp was born on April 3, 1951, in Caracas, Venezuela. Her pageant journey began at the age of nineteen when she was selected to represent the Federal District at the Miss Venezuela beauty pageant.
Miss Venezuela and Miss Universe
On June 25, 1968, Kopp triumphed as Miss Venezuela, wearing the number fifteen. She succeeded Mariela Perez as the reigning beauty queen of the nation. Just two weeks later, she represented Venezuela at the Miss Universe pageant in Miami. On July 13, 1968, Kopp placed third as the fourth runner-up, earning the title of Third Vice-Miss Universe.
Education and Career
Beyond the pageant world, Kopp pursued a university education and became a lawyer. She made her mark in the media, hosting several television programs in the late 1980s. Despite her many accomplishments, her marriage ended in divorce.
