Per Kværne: Eminent Norwegian Tibetologist and Art Historian
Early Academic CareerPer Kværne embarked on his academic journey at the University of Oslo, where he earned a master's degree in Sanskrit in 1970. Subsequently, from 1970 to 1975, he disseminated knowledge as a lecturer in the history of religions at the University of Bergen.

In 1973, Kværne obtained his doctoral degree from the University of Oslo with a dissertation titled "An Anthology of Buddhist Tantric Songs." His distinguished career continued as a professor of the history of religions at the University of Oslo from 1975 to 2007, after which he became professor emeritus.
