Peter David Schiff is an American businessman, writer, and financial analyst. He currently holds the position of CEO and Chief Global Strategist at brokerage firm Euro Pacific Capital Inc., as well as CEO of Euro Pacific Precious Metals, LLC, a company specializing in the sale of precious metals.

Schiff was born and raised in New Haven, Connecticut. In 1987, he graduated from the University of California, Berkeley, with a degree in finance and accounting. He gained his first experience as a financial consultant at Shearson Lehman Brothers.

In 1996, Schiff and his partner purchased a small brokerage firm that had been founded in 1980 and relocated it to California. They renamed the company Euro Pacific Capital and quickly expanded its client base to over 15,000.
