Peter Phillips: A Royal Life
Birth and Early LifePeter Phillips was born on November 15, 1977, to Princess Anne and Captain Mark Phillips. As the Queen's first grandchild, he became fifth in line to the throne at the time of his birth. He has a younger full sister, Zara (born 1981), and two half-sisters, Felicity Tonkin (born 1985) and Stephanie Phillips (born 1997).
Education and Career
After graduating from Exeter University in 2000, Peter worked as a sales manager for Jaguar automobiles and as a team manager for the Williams Formula One team. In 2005, he joined the Royal Bank of Scotland.
Inheritance
Peter Phillips reportedly inherited approximately £1 million upon the death of his great-grandmother, Elizabeth Bowes-Lyon.
Marriage and Family
Peter Phillips met his future wife, Canadian Autumn Kelly, at the Montreal Formula One Grand Prix in 2003. They became engaged on July 28, 2007, and married on May 17, 2008, at Windsor Castle. The couple has two daughters: Savannah Anne Kathleen (born December 29, 2010) and Isla Elizabeth (born March 29, 2012). Savannah was the first great-grandchild of Queen Elizabeth II.
