Early Life and Education

Peter Sullivan was born on July 26, 1964, in Hoddesdon, Hertfordshire, England. Raised in a political family, Sullivan initially aspired to become a lawyer. However, a biopic on James Dean ignited his passion for acting, leading him to join the National Youth Theatre.

After graduating from high school, Sullivan secretly auditioned for the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, informing his parents only a week before the semester began.

Theatrical Career

After studying in London, Sullivan honed his craft in New York under American actress Uta Hagen. He later joined the Catalan theater company La Fura Dels Baus, touring worldwide.

In 1986, Sullivan joined the National Theatre in London, performing in productions directed by Richard Eyre. He also played a prominent role in "The Millionairess" at the Lyttelton Theatre.
