Early Life and Education

Petr Mikhailovich Ageenkowas born in 1888 to a peasant family in the village of Litvinovka, Ukraine. In 1907, he graduated from the Starobelsk Gymnasium. Subsequently, he pursued higher education, graduating from the medical faculty of Kharkiv University in 1913.

Medical Career

Rural Practice and World War I:

After graduation, Ageenko worked as a rural doctor in Kharkiv Governorate. During World War I, he served as a military physician in the Russian Imperial Army.

Olshany Hospital:

From 1918 to 1941, Ageenko was the head of the medical unit, surgeon, and chief physician of the Olshany Hospital in the Kharkiv region. His tireless efforts led to the establishment of an exemplary hospital there.

Great Patriotic War:

During World War II, Ageenko served as the chief surgeon at an evacuation hospital in Kazakhstan.

Return to Kharkiv

In 1943, Ageenko returned to Kharkiv Oblast and was appointed chief physician of the Bogodukhov City Hospital. The same year, he became the chief physician of the First Kharkiv City Clinical Hospital named after Lenin.
