Biography of Pyotr Gara
Early Life and CareerPyotr Gara, born Pyotr Petrenko in Krasnodar in 1984, was a rising Russian chansonnier, concert organizer, and television host. He began his singing career in his hometown before moving to Moscow to further his musical pursuits.
Professional Success and Scheduled Performances
Gara's career was on the rise, with performances scheduled for entertainment venues in Moscow and St. Petersburg in February and March 2018. He invited fans to his "creative evenings" via social media, promising both familiar and new compositions.
Mysterious Disappearance and Discovery
On February 14, 2018, Gara was last seen alive at a party. Five days later, on February 19th, his body was found in his rented apartment on Severny Bulvar, wrapped in a sheet and soaked in chlorine.
Cause of Death and Investigation
An autopsy revealed that Gara had sustained five or seven stab wounds. The apartment showed signs of a struggle, with broken phones, a damaged TV, and a torn curtain. Valuables, including Gara's computers, were missing.
The prevailing theory is that Gara was killed by a close male friend, who allegedly had a romantic relationship with him. However, Gara's colleagues refute these rumors, emphasizing his heterosexual orientation.
