Victor Ploskina, a renowned Belarusian conductor and music educator, has made significant contributions to the musical landscape of Belarus.

Early Career

Ploskina debuted as a conductor at the Bolshoi Opera and Ballet Theater of Belarus with Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov's opera "The Tsar's Bride." His early success paved the way for a promising career.

Directorial Appointments

In 1992, Ploskina joined the Belarusian State Academic Symphony Orchestra. From 1997 to 1998, he served as the chief conductor of the Sarajevo Philharmonic Orchestra. His leadership guided these ensembles to new heights.

Academic Endeavors

Alongside his conducting duties, Ploskina has played a vital role in music education. Since 1997, he has been the head of the Orchestral Conducting Department at the Belarusian State Academy of Music. He also leads the academy's student orchestra, "Gradus ad Parnassum."
