Early Life and Club Career
Pione Sisto was born in Uganda to parents of South Sudanese descent. He began his football journey with Danish club FC Midtjylland, where he made his professional debut in 2012. Sisto quickly established himself as a key player, scoring his first goal for the club in 2013 and helping them win the Danish Superliga in 2015. His performances attracted interest from several European giants, including Barcelona, Porto, Arsenal, and Juventus.
European Success and Transfer to Celta Vigo
In 2016, Sisto made a mark on the European stage, scoring a crucial goal against Manchester United in the Europa League. His impressive displays earned him a move to Spanish club Celta Vigo in 2016. He made his La Liga debut for Celta in 2016 and has since become a regular contributor to the team.
International Career
Sisto has represented Denmark at various youth levels, including at the 2015 UEFA European Under-21 Championship. He made his senior international debut for Denmark in 2015 and has since become a regular member of the squad.
