The Formation of "Postoronnim V" (1996-1998)
In July 1996, the rock band "Postoronnim V" emerged in the city of Petrozavodsk. Initially, the band's lineup consisted of a drummer, guitarist, and vocalist. However, in early 1998, the departure of their drummer forced a 18-month hiatus for the band.
A New Beginning and Evolution (1999-2001)
In spring 1999, "Postoronnim V" resurfaced with a rejuvenated sound and a new drummer. The band underwent two lineup changes, solely involving their drummers. Their musical style gradually evolved, with the band eventually defining it as "contemporary guitar music with elements of Britpop."
Local Success and Festivals (1999-2003)
Over the years, "Postoronnim V" became a regular fixture in rock festivals, concerts, and television marathons held in their hometown. They also embarked on solo performances. The band members engaged in various side projects independently.
Radio Play and a New Drummer (2000-2001)
In 1999, the band recorded a demo featuring a portion of their material, which received airplay on "Radio-Modern" hosted by well-known DJs. A change in their drummer occurred in the summer of 2001, marking the beginning of the band's expansion beyond Petrozavodsk.
Expanding Horizons and New Recordings (2001-2003)
By the end of 2002, "Postoronnim V" completed another demo single, whose songs aired on the local "Nashe Radio" station. The band commenced writing and rehearsing original material for their debut album, scheduled for recording in early 2004. In summer 2003, a keyboardist joined the band, bringing their lineup to five members.
