Early Life and Family Background
Alexey Potapenko, known by his stage name Pozitiv, was born on May 19, 1989, in Kyiv, Ukraine. He has a twin sister, Elizaveta, who was born 10 minutes earlier. Pozitiv hails from a creative family: his father was a theater director, his mother a ballerina, and his grandfather led the renowned Ukrainian choir named after Heorhiy Verevka.
Education and Artistic Training
From a young age, Pozitiv pursued choreography. He later enrolled in the Kyiv Children's Academy of Arts, where he studied music, vocals, and acting. During this period, he performed in various children's plays. Pozitiv extended his education to London and Cambridge.
Musical Career
Collaboration with PotapAt the age of 13, Pozitiv began collaborating with Potap. This collaboration allowed him to participate in numerous projects and perform in over 3000 Potap concerts across the CIS, Germany, Canada, and the United States.
"new'z'cool" and "Vremya i Steklo"
In 2004, Pozitiv joined the band "new'z'cool," releasing their debut album, "School, Bones, Rap," in 2006. From 2010 to 2017, he became a member of the duo "Vremya i Steklo," alongside Nadia Dorofeeva.
MOZGI and "Malibu"
In 2017, Pozitiv joined Potap's male EDM group, MOZGI. Under the pseudonym PZT, he and Potap (as PTP) released the controversial music video "Malibu," which included explicit lyrics.
Solo Endeavors and Talent Shows
Pozitiv continues to pursue solo projects and has appeared as a coach on the Ukrainian version of "The Voice Kids" alongside Nadia Dorofeeva. In 2020, he participated in the Ukrainian edition of "Dancing with the Stars."
Filmography
"Menty" and "The Stolen Princess"In his school years, Pozitiv provided the Ukrainian dubbing for the character of Vyacheslav Volkov in the TV series "Menty." However, the season never aired. In 2018, he voiced the main character, Ruslan, in the animated film "The Stolen Princess: Ruslan and Lyudmila."
Personal Life
Pozitiv is married to Anna Andriychuk, a former television producer turned fashion designer. The couple met in 2006 and married in 2013.
