Early Life and Theatrical BeginningsPriscilla Morrill, born in Boston, Massachusetts, in 1927, embarked on her acting career after graduating from Carnegie Institute in Pittsburgh. She made her theatrical debut with the Brattle Theater Company in Cambridge, Massachusetts, showcasing her talent in "Julius Caesar." Her Broadway debut followed soon after, in the production of "The Relapse." Morrill's versatility extended beyond Broadway, as she graced the stages of off-Broadway theaters as well.
Television Success
Morrill's television debut came in 1963, in an episode of the eerie science fiction series "Outer Limits." She had already established a reputation as a theater actress, having performed in notable Broadway productions such as "Love's Labour's Lost," "The Duchess of Malfi," and "The Night of the Iguana." Her transition to television proved equally successful, with Morrill becoming a sought-after actress for episodic roles in the 1960s. Notable guest appearances include those in "The Wild Wild West," "The F.B.I.," "Judd for the Defense," and "Mannix."

In the 1970s, Morrill portrayed her most famous television character, Edie Grant, the wife of Lou Grant in the sitcom "The Mary Tyler Moore Show." Morrill passed away on November 6, 1994, at the age of 67, at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. She was survived by her husband, Paul Bryson.
