Enzo Ghinazzi, better known by his stage name Pupo, was an Italian singer born in 1955 in Ponticino, in the province of Arezzo. Growing up in a strict environment, Pupo sang in a church choir and obeyed the rules imposed by his elders. However, he also had a mischievous side and often found himself getting into trouble.

Despite his rebellious nature, Pupo was determined to become a singer. He spent most of his time in dance halls, neglecting his studies, and participating in talent competitions to gain recognition. Eventually, he had the opportunity to perform on stage and released his first album, "Come sei bella," in the mid-1970s. He gained his first taste of fame in 1975 with the popular song "Ti scriverò," which he wrote and performed himself.

Pupo's popularity continued to grow, and he became known throughout Italy with his catchy songs. In 1980, he achieved third place at the prestigious San Remo Music Festival with the song "Su di noi." His other famous songs, "Cieli azzurri" and "Un amore grande," also became hits at the festival.

During this period, Pupo's fame extended beyond Italy, and many of his songs were translated into other languages. He won the Italian competition, "Gondola d'Oro," and became the author of 11 gold-record albums. Pupo was a tabloid favorite, with fans wanting to know every detail about his life, including his personal habits and relationships.
