Biography of Quin Harrison

Quin Harrison is an American athlete and participant of the 2008 Olympics. She is a talented athlete and an outstanding runner, specializing in the 400-meter hurdles. Quin represented the United States national team at the 2008 Olympics. Her coach is Lawrence Johnson. With a personal best record of 54.60 seconds, Quin Harrison has achieved great success in her athletic career.

Early Life

Quin Harrison was born on September 10, 1988, in Richmond, Virginia. From a young age, she had a keen interest in track and field. She attended Hermitage High School in Richmond and graduated with notable success in 2006. Quin established herself not only as a talented athlete but also as an exemplary student.

College and Early Success

After graduating from high school, Quin Harrison enrolled at Virginia Tech College, where she continued her education and continued to compete in local and school competitions until 2007. In 2007, she began competing in prestigious youth competitions. For example, Quin became the unexpected winner of the USA Junior Championship, completing the distance in 56.86 seconds. After winning the gold in the junior championship, she went on to win a series of victories in other tournaments. Quin won the gold medal at the Pan Am Junior Tournament, setting a time of 56.25 seconds. She then became the first-place finisher at the NCAA East Regionals, completing the distance in 56.09 seconds. Throughout the season, the American athlete also won the bronze at the NCAA Outdoors (55.81 seconds) and the silver at the ACC Champs (56.80 seconds). Quin Harrison ranked sixth among American athletes in the 400-meter hurdles.

2008 Season and Olympics

In the 2008 season, Quin Harrison showcased her talent not only in the 400-meter hurdles but also in other distances. At the Olympic Trials, she achieved a very high (for herself personally) second place. Additionally, she became the ACC champion with a time of 55.16 seconds. Quin also had a strong performance at the prestigious NCAA Indoors tournament. A few weeks before, Quin arrived in Beijing to participate in the 2008 Olympic Games. Qualifying for the Olympics was a significant achievement for the talented runner. Despite finishing with the 7th best time in the semi-finals, the young athlete did not give up. She will continue to improve herself in order to become a top contender for medals at future Olympics and Championships.
