Rachel Lee Cook is an American actress who has shown great promise in her career. Despite her young age, Rachel has appeared in over twenty films and has won eleven film awards. She was born on October 4, 1979, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA. Her father, Thomas N. Cook, is a social worker and former comedian, while her mother, Joan Cook, is a culinary instructor.
Rachel Lee Cook attended Clara Barton Elementary School, followed by Laurel Springs Middle School, and then South Minneapolis High School. Despite growing up as a very shy girl, at the age of seven, she successfully appeared in a social advertisement encouraging adults to be exemplary parents. At the age of ten, Rachel started working as a print model, appearing in advertisements for "Target" - on boxes of milk cookies for dogs.
When she was fourteen years old, Rachel Lee Cook overcame her innate shyness and joined a modeling agency. Four years later, she landed a small role in the short film "26 Summer Street" (1996). Rachel first gained attention from the public by appearing in the anti-drug campaign "This Is Your Brain on Drugs" (1998), although she had already acted in movies such as "The Baby-Sitters Club" (1995), "Tom and Huck" (1995), and had a leading role in the film "Country Justice" (1997).
