Early Career and Breakthrough

Hamed Namouchi, a Tunisian footballer, began his professional career at Espérance Sportive de Tunis. Known as a defender, Namouchi made over 200 appearances for the club, establishing himself as a key player.

Moving to England

In July 2004, Namouchi made history by becoming the first Tunisian to join an English Premier League club when he signed for Bolton Wanderers. He spent two seasons with the team before securing a transfer to Birmingham City in the summer of 2006 for a reported fee of £2 million.

Later Career

Namouchi's contract with Birmingham City expired in June 2009. However, his impressive performances had already cemented his status as a respected defender in the English Premier League.

International Career

In addition to his club career, Namouchi was a regular member of the Tunisian national football team, earning 102 caps. He played a significant role in Tunisia's appearances at the 2002 and 2006 FIFA World Cups, as well as the 2005 FIFA Confederations Cup and the 2008 Africa Cup of Nations.
