Early Life and Training

Perino del Vaga, an Italian painter, was born in Florence in 1501. His artistic training began under the tutelage of Raffaello Sanzio da Urbino (Raphael) and Giulio Romano.

Collaboration with Raphael and Romano

Del Vaga closely collaborated with Raphael, assisting in the execution of frescoes at the Villa Farnesina. He also painted scenes from the story of Moses in one of the cupolas of the Vatican Loggie based on Raphael's designs. Additionally, he contributed to Romano's composition "Donation of Rome to the Pope" in the Sala di Costantino in the Vatican Palace.

Contributions to Other Artists' Works

Del Vaga's artistic skills extended beyond his collaborations with Raphael and Romano. He assisted Girolamo Genga and Giorgio Vasari in some of their works.
